Ever since it was established in 1944, Turkish pharmaceutical company Santa Farma has invested in the most advanced technologies to keep ahead in the fast-changing pharmaceutical industry. In keeping with its mission and after a careful selection process, the company explicitly chose electrically conductive flooring from the Bolidtop® 700 flooring range.
Dedicated to its mission of ‘Giving healthy service to health’, Santa Farma has built up a strong track record over seventy years in the pharmaceutical industry. The company manufactures top-quality medicines, also under contract for multinationals such as the originally Dutch, now merged Organon company.
For its new Research & Development Centre and production factory in the Turkish town of Dilovasi Gebkim, Santa Farma chose every supplier through an extensive selection process to make absolutely sure that the factory would comply with all the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This recognised quality assurance system for the pharmaceutical industry guarantees that the entire production process is carried out in a carefully prescribed and controlled manner, so that products meets the quality and safety standards. Bolidt’s flooring systems came out best in the selection, also because Bolidt has everything under one roof, from development and production to application.
Santa Farma selected the electrically conductive version of Bolidtop® 700, the Bolidtop® Stato 700, for its new production facility. In the high-tech production environment, with an annual production capacity of about 150 million units, the pharmaceutical company leaves nothing to chance. Innovation is at least as important as respect for the workplace and the individual. The ESD-safe floor finish from Bolidt provides excellent electrical conductivity. In laboratories and clean rooms where activities include work with volatiles, conductive flooring reduces the hazard of explosions. The static charge is immediately discharged via the special conductive subfloor through the structural cement-bound substrate, before it can even pose a danger. At the same time, delicate electronic equipment and (unmanned) automated transport systems are protected from uncontrolled discharge. With Bolidtop® 700, Santa Farma is also guaranteed extreme wear and scratch resistance as well as high mechanical strength. This leading Turkish pharmaceutical firm has thus laid a solid foundation for better health in the future.
Bolidt is much in demand as a supplier of flooring solutions to the Turkish Pharmaceutical industry. Companies Bolidt worked for include:
