The measures taken nationally and internationally to curb the spread of COVID-19 have had an impact on the seafood industry. As a result, the production process at some companies has partly been halted. This is a very undesirable state of affairs which, unfortunately, is proving insurmountable for many. However, to make the most of this unpleasant situation, maintenance can be brought forward, for example. By using the time efficiently now, the production location can hopefully be used fully and without interruption once the economy is back in full swing.
Demand for fish products has declined as the hotel and catering industry and other large-scale customers have temporarily reduced or even ceased activity. Now, when the production process cannot be fully utilized, is a good time for maintenance. Once the coronavirus crisis has passed, the seafood companies would then meet all requirements for operation and could focus, once again, completely on their primary process.
Bolidt is currently assisting clients in smart planning and flexible renovation projects. Close cooperation with clients has resulted in floor systems that now meet the strictest hygiene guidelines.
This can minimize the risk of an outbreak of multi-resistant bacteria and fungi. Bolidt’s synthetic floor systems therefore have the ideal properties for this. They are seamless, pore-tight, antimicrobial, wear-resistant, extremely durable and can be cleaned with chemical agents. Thanks to these qualities, bacteria cannot, for example, settle in the floor, while the high load capacity ensures that there are no cracks in which dirt (and therefore bacteria) can accumulate.
Because Bolidt controls the entire value chain, it is not dependent on third parties for the execution of work. The development and production of floor systems takes place in-house.
Bolidt’s own application teams are able to carry out projects quickly and flexibly, taking into account the required health guidelines. Bolidt is able to completely unburden clients, for example by drawing up a workable LEAN plan. Bolidt is currently working on projects in various countries including France, Italy and South Korea.
Renovation work is almost always performed under time pressure. After all, it is important to open the doors again as soon as possible. The Bolidt specialists understand the challenges of clients and do everything in their power to continue to perform optimally under these extra challenging circumstances. The specialists work closely together with clients to reschedule projects in order to ensure efficient planning and flexible execution.
